Let me re-write this, what exactly should they be banned for? Sure, I'm positive some have broken the rules, but you could find those people in every alliance including my own. Can flipping newbies on trial, harassing new players, anything that impacts new folks (Under a couple weeks) who are just trying to get started and figure out what they think of Eve. All they're doing is being mean for no reason whatsoever. I don't think the entire organization should be banned, however selective members perhaps. I really enjoy watching the drama they cause, but frequently they cross the line to attack the lifeblood of Eve. And then they brag about it. Not cool.
I'm going to do what no other goons will do: Give you insights on our culture.

We recruit more newbees with promises of griefing, than CCP can recruit with terrible youtube videos. I am a product of this.

Point out actual instances of us can flipping newbies on trial. If you use instances of miners, then that is their fault for being miners. We have a very fierce newbee friendly culture. We want people to play this game and get hooked. If we do, we can blow up their expensive ships later on. If any goon griefs a newbee, they are summarily disciplined and publicly shamed via an all-all jabber broadcast. They usually have to do something embarrassing and several thousand CFC members get to laugh at them as a result.

I can see how being subject to the whims of the majority might be frustrating. Be smarter, Say more intelligent things, get smart players to rally behind you. Don't throw out baseless anti-goon propaganda. |
